The Florida Highway Patrol answered a call for a fatal crash on Highway 231 North on Sunday afternoon. The crash on Highway 231 ended the life of a seventy-nine-year-old woman from Youngstown. According to the authorities, the woman was driving on N. Bear Creek Road toward the Highway 231 intersection. Another car was going north in the outside lane of Highway 231.
The woman was attempting to cross northbound traffic to make a left turn into the southbound lanes of Highway 231, which caused the second car to crash into the side of the victim’s car. The inside lanes of traffic have reopened after they were blocked in both directions. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The police are still investigating the accident.
