On Saturday, Melissa Calderon was driving her Lexus on the Bayside Bridge when she was hit from behind. The car that rear-ended her was a Toyota SUV driven by 45-year old Joseph Poblete.
When Poblete’s SUV hit the back of the sedan, it flipped over multiple times. Poblete and his passenger, 34-year old Laurie Poblete, were both transported to Northside Hospital. Once at the hospital, Joseph Poblete succumbed to his injuries and died. His passenger, Laurie Poblete, suffering injuries as well but did survive the accident.
There was no word as to the condition of the women driving the Lexus. Nor was there any mention of any specific cause of the accident. All the investigation revealed was that the Toyota definitely rammed into the back of Caldero’s car.
