Interstate 10 was closed for several hours after a truck accident caused by a careless driver injured five people.
State troopers are still investigating what caused the crash that happened on Friday, November 29th, in the late afternoon hours.
The collision occurred on Interstate 10 close to mile marker 7, about 4:10 p.m. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) informed that there were tracks from the left tires of the truck that went into the grass median while driving westward on I-10.
According to the crash report, the eighteen-year-old driver Alexandria Simmons tried to bring back the truck back to the left lane but lost control over the vehicle.
