A severe crash near Everglades City between an RV and a Jeep closed the South Florida roadway on Sunday morning, March 14. According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, the three-vehicle accident happened on Southwest 8th Street. The police closed the road between Krome Avenue and State Road 29, near Everglades City, after an RV, a Jeep Cherokee and a van crashed.
The RV was going eastbound on SW 8th Street and the Jeep was driving westbound when the Jeep swerved into the path of the RV, making both vehicles swerve in an attempt to avoid a crash, said the Florida Highway Patrol.
Both vehicles overturned after the collision; the RV stopped on its side, blocking the lanes in both ways.
According to the troopers, there were two people in the RV and the passenger was transported to a local hospital by air rescue. The Jeep driver and their passenger were also taken to a local hospital after the crash near Everglades City.
The third injury driver didn’t report any injuries (according to the troopers, it was a little white van).
Multiple-vehicle accidents are never easy, especially if there are severe damage and serious injuries.
It’s always best to consult with a car accident attorney before you decide to take any step. If the other parties were at fault you can seek a compensation claim from their insurance companies. However, this isn’t a smooth and quick process that will work in your favour. Insurance companies will do their best to offer a low-ball first offer. It’s up to you whether you’ll accept it or not. Your attorney will advise you not to; allow your lawyer to negotiate until the insured offers a decent claim that will cover all your expenses related to the crash.
