11-Year-Old Boy Injured in Florida Keys Diving Accident

Florida Keys Diving Accident

A young Rochester boy was injured in a Florida Keys diving accident and airlifted in Miami on Tuesday, March 30. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office report on the accident says that it happened around 10:50 a.m. while the boy and his family were aboard a commercial dive boat, accompanied by a divemaster.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the eleven-year-old boy was in approximately 20 feet of water at Looe Key Reef when he passed out and started shaking after he came to the surface. The boy spent almost 35 minutes in the water.

The last report says that the eleven-year-old boy is in stable condition and is expected to recover fully. The police haven’t released the name of the boy injured in the Florida Keys diving accident.

There are many reasons why such accidents happen. One of them could be a medical condition. If you were injured in any type of accident because of a medical condition, it’s important to discover what happened. You might be misdiagnosed, or given the wrong medicine. If this turned out to be true, then the healthcare provider will be responsible for your accident.

It’s best to allow a skilled personal injury attorney to review your case and then investigate if needed. Such cases may be complex so trying to go through them on your own (especially if the case gets to court) could be frustrating, stressful and time-consuming.
