Florida Woman Arrested for DUI; Police Finds Toddler in Backseat

The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office informed that they have arrested thirty-two-year-old Katherine Weaver Tuesday, a Florida woman, for driving under the influence and child neglect after several calls for dangerous driving were made. The Florida woman was found on the Marler Bridge going into Destin after she was taking part in a multi-car accident. The deputies found a toddler in the back seat of the car, the child was in a car seat when the police arrived.

According to Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, several 911 calls were made on Tuesday, informing that a white Ford Explorer was seen zigzagging down HWY 98 hitting traffic medians and guard rails.

Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office says this took place around 2:30 in the afternoon. Weaver is now facing charges with DUI with property damage and child neglect without great bodily harm.
