Accidents happen all the time and unfortunately can happen even to the most careful drivers. Alcohol, speeding, or distractions aren’t always the reasons; many people lose control over their vehicles because of health issues, fatigue, road hazards, or faulty vehicle parts.
If you were injured in an accident, you should seek medical help immediately. Even if you feel well, make sure you get a medical exam, since some injuries may not be visible. The medical report will help you when you’ll file for a compensation claim.
Next, call the police and if possible a car accident attorney. Take photos of the accident, gather info about the other driver (if there is another party involved), and witnesses. Every evidence will help you prove your case later.
