Three Orlando teens who stole an SUV were arrested after being pursued by law enforcement from Tampa to Osceola County. The chase ended in a crash, Florida Highway Patrol informed. The accident happened on the afternoon of October 7.
Florida Highway Patrol got a call around 1 p.m., about a stolen SUV. The SUV entered I4 going toward Orlando. Once the teens entered Polk County Florida Highway Patrol troopers took over the pursuit.
While Florida Highway Patrol was chasing the SUV, the teens exited I-4 at the U.S. 27 exit and went north. The teens continued with Florida Highway Patrol in pursuit along U.S. 192 and hit a pickup truck after driving through a red light near the Four Corners area in Osceola.
Florida Highway Patrol arrested the sixteen-year-old driver of the SUV. The minor driver was critically injured. The two passengers, ages eighteen and nineteen were also arrested.
The sixty-seven-year-old man from Davenport who was driving the pickup truck was severely injured. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the drivers of the other two vehicles got minor injuries. The collision is still under investigation.
