South Florida Doctor Who Caused Fatal Accident, Gets Charged for Driving Drunk

car accident

A South Florida podiatrist will be charged after causing a fatal car accident while driving under the influence on the highway.

Thirty-one-year-old Zeeshan Anwar was going southbound on I-95 in mid-February when he hit into a construction worker and crushed him against a pickup truck.

Sixty-four-year old Curtis Heaberlin was immediately taken to a hospital, where he died, shortly after the accident.

Anwar had three times more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

He did not slow down when he noticed the car in front of him and did not avoid the construction zone. He crashed the car and continued into the construction zone, where he finally hit an empty forklift where there was also a pickup truck.

The judge set Anwar’s bond at $150,000. The doctor also had to quit his passport and is not allowed to drink alcohol or drive a car until the beginning of his trial.

Drunk driving is illegal and dangerous and therefore you should never risk operating a vehicle while under the influence. You put yourself and others in danger when sitting behind the wheel, even after having one drink.

If you were injured in an accident where the liable party was drunk driving, you have the right to file a lawsuit and seek for a compensation claim.

But, even if it is clear that you are not at fault, never go through this process without a skilled attorney.

A DUI accident lawyer knows exactly what should they do to help you get your claim.
