Truck Accident on Howard Frankland Bridge

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a truck accident on Howard Frankland Bridge that happened on Tuesday morning.  One person was severely injured in the collision.

A sixty-two-year-old man from Lutz was driving an Autiporos tow truck. He was going north on Interstate 75 near the 36 milepost on the Howard Frankland Bridge.

A Middlesex Construction vehicle was stopped along the outside shoulder of the 36 milepost in front of a construction lane closure sign.

The two truck driver lost control and crashed the backside of the construction vehicle.

The forty-nine-year-old man from Palm Harbor who was driving the construction vehicle got serious injuries and was taken to a hospital.

A twenty-five-year-old passenger from Lake Panasoffkee also got minor injuries.

The tow truck driver also had minor injuries.
