Miami Man Killed in a Crash in Palm Beach County

Crash in Palm Beach County

A forty-four-year-old Miami man died in a crash in Palm Beach County on Florida’s Turnpike on Tuesday, March 30, at about 6:15 p.m. The accident happened near Mile Marker 78, west of Boca Raton.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the man stopped on the shoulder of the Turnpike near Yamato Road when his pickup truck started having engine issues. The man was checking the engine, when a forty-year-old man from Delray Beach that was operating an SUV swerved across the right lane and hit the man, killing him at the scene.

The SUV driver sustained minor injuries. Other six passengers in the pickup were also injured. So far the police haven’t released the identity of the victim and the other driver involved in the crash in Palm Beach County.

Accidents of this type are very common. Even though when engine problems occur, most drivers tend to check the vehicle, it might not be a good idea to get out on the road. If you were injured in a similar accident or lost a loved one in such a case, make sure to get legal assistance. After the primary medical help, it’s time to call an attorney. No matter how the accident happened, and whether or not you contributed anyhow to it, call a car accident lawyer and inform them about the crash.

Even though the police will ask questions and you’re expected to give information about the crash, avoid saying things like “it’s my fault” or “I didn’t see them”. For any tricky question, you can refuse to give a further answer; just wait till you consult with your attorney. Your lawyer will review the accident, gather evidence on their own if it’s necessary, get the police report and help you negotiate with the insurers.
