A severe accident occurred on Tuesday morning (around 5 a.m) at the intersection of Sheldon Road and Linebaugh Avenue in Westchase. Three people were killed and one was injured.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident and closed all lanes except for southbound Sheldon Road.
A 2020 silver Chevy Malibu ran a red light and got hit by another vehicle, the Sheriff’s Office reported. The Malibu was going northbound on Sheldon Road, when it got hit by a 2017 white Nissan Altima that was going eastbound on West Linebaugh.
The crash made the Malibu los control and crash in a pole. Three people that were inside the vehicle were ejected and died at the scene. The driver of the Altima was transported to St. Joseph’s with severe injuries.
